A small hiatus

Hey there!

Just in case you're wondering why there's been a lapse in posting the next installment of Chairity Case, it's because I've been busy trying to update my original chair project: A Safe Place for Chairs I've only posted 23 of the 170+  chair pictures I've collected over the past year and half, which means I have a lot of work to do!

Check back soon!

Kim & Jessie — A Romance

It was love at first sight for Kim & Jessie... but unfortunately this was much to the dismay of the other chairs in the household who were openly jealous of their bond. Kim & Jessie had grown tired of the bitter looks across the dining room table and the whispers at night when everyone thought they were asleep. It seemed the chairs were determined to make Kim & Jessie's lives miserable.

One evening the two other chairs in the dining set ganged up on Kim and pushed her to the head of the table moments before dinner. They knew she wouldn't be able to withstand the sheer weight of Garret, especially considering her left front leg had become wobbly over the past few months. Sure enough when the robust head of the household took his seat at the table, Kim collapsed to the ground and was promptly tossed out in anger. Garret's wife Marie, a kind and modest woman (a.k.a. nothing like Garrett), knew Kim & Jessie were a couple, so out of respect, placed Jessie by Kim's side at the curb. She rationalized to her husband that now with Sarah and Timmy away at University, they only needed two chairs anyway. Luckily he agreed, and the two were left peacefully by the sidewalk, hoping to be adopted by a new family, but just glad they had each other.

As a result, in some ways, it's a happy ending for Kim & Jessie. Now that they're free, it's time they got the alone-time they've so desired! Click on the video below to see how we made their dreams come true!

Beacon — An Office Drama

Poor Beacon. After 15 hard years at Ibutron Technologies he has been given the boot and he didn't even see it coming. In fact, when he was rolled out of his cubicle on that rainy Tuesday afternoon he thought he was finally getting the promotion he deserved, a spot in upper management! After all, he is one of their most experienced employees, hardworking, sturdy, reliable, in great shape given his age, and always well-dressed in royal blue. But no, instead he was tossed out the back, without any explanation. Rumour has it, he was replaced by a new-hire, one of those young, fresh-from-the-factory, ergonomic chairs, with features nobody at Ibutron will ever bother to use anyway. How was Beacon to compete? Especially in today's economic climate. It's time Beacon got what he deserved! Click on the video below to see how we made Beacon's dreams come true.
